Membership Terms

Eligibility

Membership in CYR is subject to approval by the Membership Chair and President. General Membership is available to individuals ages 18-40 who reside in or work within Chicago city limits. Other membership categories have specific eligibility requirements as outlined on our membership page.

Membership Fees

Membership fees are non-refundable. All fees must be paid in full at the time of application or renewal. CYR reserves the right to modify membership fees with reasonable notice to current members.

Member Conduct

Members are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with CYR's Code of Conduct at all times. Failure to comply may result in membership suspension or termination without refund. Members must:

• Treat all members, guests, and staff with respect and professionalism

• Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior

• Uphold the values and mission of CYR

• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Termination

CYR reserves the right to suspend or terminate any membership at any time for violation of these Terms, the Code of Conduct, or for any other reason deemed appropriate by leadership. Members may cancel their membership at any time, but fees are non-refundable.

Events and Registration

Registration

Event registration is required for most CYR events. Registration fees, where applicable, are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by CYR. We reserve the right to deny admission to any individual for any reason.

Event Changes

CYR reserves the right to change event details, including date, time, location, speakers, and programming, without prior notice. In the event of cancellation by CYR, registered attendees will be notified and refunds will be issued if applicable.

Photography and Recording

By attending CYR events, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded. These materials may be used for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media, and marketing materials. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify event staff.

Website Use and Restrictions

Acceptable Use

You may use our website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
