Congressman Aaron Schock (R-IL) is the youngest member of Congress (29) and a member of the House Ways and Means Committee. For most of his life, Aaron Schock has worked. By the age of 16, he was working as a ticket broker and after school at a gravel pit. After being told by the School Board he couldn’t graduate early from high school, he decided to run for school board himself. He was thrown off the ballot and had to run as a write in candidate. He knocked on 13,000 doors and won his first election at age 19. From the school board, he went on to the Illinois House and then to Congress. He gets it!
