Chicago Young Republicans Weigh In

Two-thirds of Illinois Residents Do NOT Like D.C.'s Current Policies

Sixty-five percent (65%) of Likely Voters in Illinois are at least somewhat angry at the current policies of the federal government, according to a new Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey.

Just 32% of voters are not angry at the government’s policies:

That tells me the majority of Illinois does not like what's coming out of the Democrat-controlled White House/Congress. So then why is Mark Kirk tied with Alexi Giannoulias in the polls? What part of Giannoulias' platform says he would resist anything coming out of Washington? If two-thirds of Illinois residents do not support D.C.'s current policies, Kirk should be leading Giannoulias by a 2-1 margin.

Can anybody explain this to me?
