Jimmy John's may leave Illinois over tax hike
The founder of Jimmy John's said he has applied for Florida residency and may recommend that his corporate headquarters move out-of-state as a result of the Illinois tax increases enacted last week.

Help students across Chicago this holiday season and share the gift of literacy. Books of all different levels (from Preschool to 8th Grade) are being collected at the 44th Ward Service Office, 1057 W. Belmont. The books will be donated and distributed within the CPS system to their classroom libraries.

The Raise Your Hand Coalition, Northside Democracy for America and the Illinois Policy Institute have teamed together to present the first Chicago Mayoral Forum on Education. Scheduled for December 15th, the event will take place at Walter Payton High School and will be moderated by Andy Shaw, Executive Director of the Better Government Association and former ABC political reporter. With nearly every major candidate committed to participating, this event will likely be the only one of its kind specifically focused on this issue.
