Chicago Young Republicans (“CYRs”) contribute to the future success of the Illinois and national Republican parties by providing a deep bench of volunteers that actively help candidates with their campaigns.  The CYRs have been involved in many grassroots efforts doing everything from voter registration drives, phone bank operations, literature drops, petition gathering, to being campaign managers and running for public office themselves.  Additionally, the Chicago Young Republicans have a presence at local, state, and national Young Republican meetings and conventions.   CYRs provide crucial support to the Republican party, and work to ensure a successful future for the party in the community and nationwide.

While the CYRs are best known for political activism and service in our community, CYR events also provide a great opportunity for interaction among membership allowing for the exchange of ideas, networking, and friendships that will last a lifetime.  CYRs provides a unique opportunity for interested Republicans to meet with the decision makers and like-minded individuals in the Chicagoland area.

The Young Republican National Federation

The Chicago Young Republicans organization is part of the premier Republican grassroots organization in the nation, providing essential grassroots support for Republican candidates and conservative issues.

The Young Republicans (YRs) are the oldest political youth organization in the United States. Important to the growth of the Republican Party, the YRs reach out to registered Republicans, 18 to 40 years of age, and provide them with better political knowledge and understanding of the issues of the day.

The primary mission of the Young Republicans is to provide an avenue through which young people can become involved in the Republican Party and contribute to the political process. We provide the next generation of Republican leaders with a way to become active in party politics. In fact, many of today's party leaders and elected officials got their start in the Young Republicans.

For 80 years, Young Republicans (YRs) have been an official auxiliary of the Republican Party.  Our membership includes young people from all walks of life, united in our belief that the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating the ideals we believe in into positive and successful principles of government.
